Einer, der nicht nur sein Handwerk meisterhaft beherrscht, dem das Talent für Bildkomposition und Arrangement in die Wiege gelegt zu sein scheint und der in seinen Arbeiten auch Geschichten zu erzählen weiß, ist der französische Fotokünstler Oliver Spillebout. Dabei sind es vor allem dramaturgische Details, die seine Aufnahmen so außergewöhnlich machen - eine sehnsüchtige Umarmung, ein ironischer Blick oder ein zartes Streicheln - alles ist von Bedeutung beseelt, aber nicht überfrachtet. Spillebouts Fotokunst besteht genau in diesem Talent, spielerisch mit seinem Medium umzugehen, ohne Allerweltsfotografie abzuliefern...

Oliver
Spillebout is a young photographer from the town of Lille in
northern France. Living life romantically, he lives in there in the loft
of an old abandoned factory. Oliver used to work as a model in the
French fashion industry (as images at his site will attest) before he
switched roles going behind the lens. His residency as a model paid off
handsomely, for his skill with the camera shows a penetrating influence
of the masters from the fashion genre. The beautiful
model wearing NHB gloves makes me want to go out and buy a pair,
that's for sure (maybe even enter the UFC!).
Oliver says that one of his goals is to shoot the cover of Playboy magazine. With his talent and his access to the beauties in the fashion world he may very well achieve that dream - or at least have fun trying. (Michelle7) |
