Der Fotograf Dewayne Flowers spürt in seinen exzellenten Arbeiten der Anzüglichkeit und Laszivität - dem Salz in der erotischen Fotografie - auf eine Weise nach, die an künstlerischer Sensibilität und Ästhetik nichts zu wünschen übrig lässt. Das erregend Erotische entsteht bei ihm aus der Intimität der abgebildeten Pose, der Schönheit des lustvollen Augenblicks oder dem spielenden Umgang miteinander. | Dewayne Flowers also known as "D" is what I will generally answer to. So, what is there to know about me? I am a recent graduate of Columbus State University and am considering going for my Masters at an undetermined time at an undetermined school. I currently work as a graphic designer for a news paper in my area of LaGrange/Pine Mountain/Columbus, GA and I am planning a move to Atlanta or a larger city somewhere in another state soon. Why do I do what I do? Well see below for that answer. I have had one show which can be seen by CLICKING HERE and I have another one in the works. Look for a book to be out (maybe) sometime around 12-2003 Not much more to put here unless someone asks me something, I dont mind answering questions, but I have a hard time just going on about myself with out someone asking me something. So, why do I shoot nudes and paint on people? Well, why not? The human body is THE work of art that will never be replaced. However, I love to enhance works that I see and to me the human form is the best canvas that one could work on. Watching the model become part of the art dimension that we as humans are not supposed to experience as they embrace and explore the fantasy, their sexuality, and being part of the color spectrum becomes part of the work just as much as the photograph does. There is no emphasis on skin color or sex, only emphasis on color and form and how they relate to each other within different compositions. When one becomes the canvas and then the work, they are not thinking about the world around them, or about being nude they are simply the work. Stripping off the clothes to become a painting strips off the bills that are due, the spouse that won't listen, the class you are failing and the world around you for, if anything, a moment you wont forget. One moment, life is nothing but a series of moments. What were your moments like? |
