Sex,
Schrill,
ungehemmt und voller Lebenslust.

Florida born artist Heidi Calvert experimented with a variety art media throughout her life including drawing, painting, sculpture and writing before finding her true love, photography, in the early 1990's. Heidi Calvert excelled in art courses in high school, and entered many school art contests, picking up merit awards along the way for her creations.
In 1993, Heidi Calvert entered her local community college as a Fine Arts major, focusing on Photography, and participated in a variety of college-run shows and exhibits, as well as private showings in Ybor City and other Tampa Bay area locations, most of which she organized and self-promoted. Heidi Calvert donated art work annually to Art for Life, an auction to benefit AIDS research and to help victims of the disease.
In 1998, Heidi Calvert lived out one of her life-long passions by moving to New York City, a place where she, as an artist, felt she had always belonged. From 1998-1999 Heidi Calvert attended the School of Visual Arts with a Chairman's Merit Scholarship and several grants for photography. Deciding on her own that she was finished with school (and spending time & money on it!) Heidi made the difficult decision to drop out and continue to pursue her art career on her own. Soon after, she took on the alias "bluegirl" (which came from a photo series she created in 2000), and developed bluegirl Productions and her sexy-fun website www.bluegirlproductions.com with her sister, graphic/logo/website artist Ali Dinsmore. Experimenting on her own and with others close to her, Heidi began crossing over into Erotica in 2000. Heidi Calvert is currently working as a photographer in New York City.
Current projects include: a new series featuring the wildest, sexiest women in New York City, a statement piece about the aftermath of the September 11th attacks on the World Trade Center in New York, and on-going shows in New York City. Her works now range from fine art erotica, to "fashion", to portraiture, to music photography, to explicit
erotica.
You will find Heidi Calvert's Photographs in New York City's Night Magazine and in other publications such as Time Out New York and Stefan Lindfor's coffee table book Rational Animal. Her work has been shown in many locations in the Tampa Bay area and in New York City. Recents shows included: "A bluegirl World" at J.Curren Gallery and at Alphabet Lounge (which included performances by New York's most sexy and famous performance artists), and a one night showing at the Vernal Equinox Celebration at Kitsch Inn at True. Bluegirl's work is also found on CD sleeves (most recently for NY's female shock-rock band Vulgaras' new cd "Aphrodite P.O.W."), and on many websites world wide.
